Steps for License Reinstatement – Harrison Hope

After a DUI arrest, there are specific steps you must follow to reinstate your driver’s license. Harrison Hope is here to help guide you through the process.

Shortly after your arrest, you should receive a letter from the Department of Public Safety (DPS). This letter will include the amount of your reinstatement fee, the date you are eligible to reinstate your license, and instructions to obtain an Alcohol/Drug Assessment and follow all recommendations.

To begin, call 918-906-9994 to schedule your Alcohol/Drug Assessment. This evaluation must be completed by a counseling professional certified by the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services as a DUI Assessor.

At the end of your assessment, you will be given specific requirements to complete, which may include DUI School, a Victim’s Impact Panel, or treatment and counseling. Once you have completed all required steps, you must return proof of completion to your Assessor.

After your documentation has been reviewed, you will be issued a Certificate of Completion. This certificate will include an embossed seal and a red stamp indicating the date all requirements have been satisfied.

You will then submit the original Certificate of Completion, along with your reinstatement fee in the form of a money order made out to DPS, either in person or by mail.

If you have questions about your driver’s license, you can contact the Department of Public Safety at (918) 632-7710 in Tulsa or (405) 425-2059 in Oklahoma City.
